YouTube Offering Picture-in-picture mode on iPhone for all its premium users

Though Apple has inbuilt a feature of Picture-in-Picture mode, YouTube has never made this feature available on Apple. As YouTube has launched pip in iOS as an experimental feature, it will be available only periodically. Hence, this very feature has to be activated manually for using it.

  • Make sure you are using the latest software version of iOS/iPadOS.
  • Open a window and browse www.youtube.com with your Google account linked to it.
  • Navigate into www.youtube.com/new
  • Go to settings and scroll down to “Picture-in-Picture on iOS” mode.
  • Click on “try it out”.
  • Now, open your YouTube app and start watching any video and visit back to your ‘home screen’ simply by pressing the home button or swiping up.
