The challenge faced was that Clarins wanted to engage and encourage their target audience on social networks and also to increase their fan base on Facebook and Twitter on the occasion of Valentine’s Day. Their target audience was men and women of an age group of 20 to 50 yrs.
Solution

Through this contest, Clarins wanted the participants to record or text a message and then choose a gift (Clarins product) for their loved one together with a red rose which is always considered as the symbol of love. Clarins also offered an exciting prize of Candle Light Dinner for best messages.
Result
The contest generated tremendous response from the market. Facebook members grew from 7500 to 10,000 in just 12 days time and also there were more than 250 registrations for the contest.
